Automaton Project

In this project, students made their own automata to reflect their feelings on mass media. This project helped students better understand the different forces of motion, as well as how simple gears and cams worked. Students first built prototypes from cardboard, and eventually translated these into beautiful hand-built wooden boxes. Students' automata were displayed during the March Exhibition Night at HTMNC.
